Finally, a NJ resident again. 08-21-07

While I was born in Wisconsin and lived there till I was 5, I'll always consider myself a New Jerseyan.

Since high school, I've spent:

4 years in college in Connecticut.
3 years working in Massachusetts (and living in CT).
3 years working and living in Pennsylvania.

So I've been away from home for a long time.

Then, in June, I got the call from The Point that they were interested in hiring me.

I took my time finding a place to live. Since my parents live only about 40 minutes from the new job, I was able to stay with family as long as I needed, until I was able to find just the right place.

Well, I feel like I've found that place and I got the keys yesterday.

While I've been back in NJ for about two months now, I've still felt like I've been in transition. Since I didn't have a place of my own and I was still traveling back to PA on the weekends to wrap things up, I still felt like just a visitor.

But I've started bringing some stuff over to the new place and I'm staying there tonight for the first time (thanks cable company, yes I'll be there between 9 and 11 tomorrow morning).

Even though I'll be sleeping on an air mattress on the floor, and the dog is still at my mom's house for tonight, it definitely feels like I'm finally a New Jerseyan again.

The official move happens this weekend.

So I'm now accepting restaurant, store, and recreation suggestions for the Jersey shore, I'm sure a lot has changed in 10 years.

Feel free to get in touch through the contact page.
